Mountain Chalet

Mountain Chalet is the only locally owned mountaineering store in Colorado Springs and has been at the same location, downtown, since 1968. Unlike big chain stores that are run from afar, the Chalet is an authentic, independent mountain shop with 40 years of experience specific to the Pikes Peak region.

The shop is big enough to have an extensive selection of products, but small enough for our staff to give you personalized service.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality outdoor clothing and equipment in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere with a knowledgeable, customer-focused staff. We have loyal customers because we continue to do just about anything to help you enjoy your outdoor adventures.

Our emphasis is climbing, hiking, and backcountry skiing. The Chalet staff members are outdoor fanatics and can speak from first hand experience for advice on gear, clothing, and places to go for your type of fun.
